Simple Character and Extraordinary Men and Women

A tin can full of today’s rations for meat. A slimmer can of vegetables. Rugged hands caressing a cup with two thin steel handles pried back against themselves, a comfortable hook possessing an odd tactical functional diversity. A chocolate covered cookie, some peanut butter, flavored potable water, and no heat source to prepare any cuisine.

These are some experience veterans or service members may recollect among the horrors of multidimensional peace keeping. The weather is as horrific as life can barely be sustain on the continent for this time of year for conditions without a proper shelter.

The improvisional government issued coffee cup is frozen to my glove! Thank the Lord it was not misplaced. Heaven and hell to pay when things go missing, as the enemy often takes nothing for granted, sensible paranoia has been ingrained. Check.

When I try to separate the handles with my other gloved appendage my phalanges fuse to the surface of the beverage’s container. I gave myself five minutes tops, time flies when where some would rather not be.

I am not complaining this cup of java has a shelf life too, as many of us here are certainly noticing. Actions, instinct, thought, and trails to nowhere and anywhere. A pleasant thought passes at the most awkward of times.

Things a person may never notice seem to bring to the forefront of the mind at the most precariously odd of times. You find yourself imagining what it would be like sliding down the side of a winter flower’s petal. “Weeeee!” The mind plays tricks you know. This one however is a beautiful one. A blast back to a nice steep unmowed hillside and a large refrigerator cardboard box, hours of fun atop the tall grass.

Nostalgia breaks up the onslaught of chaos the numbness of our present environment enshrines to deliver the prolifically simple presented the prolific of nature and ambiance.

The miracles captured by the naked eye. Memories to enrich a man or woman here in old age. No cameras here because this is a location it seems Omnipotence and Hades forgot about long ago, it has only been a few moments. Both polar deities have thankfully and graciously departed desiring no affiliation to the circumstances present here, or the psychological manifestations which birthed the fruition of this acute subliminal level of consciousness.

Out of the carnage the human condition embraces ingenuity’s irregularity to create the masterful, overtaking the obstacles of perception, only to rise to the precipice of a later recollection.

Imagination, distortion, the unknown, and realities birth the stimuli for exponential manifestations of the human character. Survival is the most common element and at the center-most of the core here is honor, sacrifice, unselfishness, and the slight psychological impairment of a criminal genius, what keeps people functioning at the optimum level to remain alive around this part of the world.

Circumstances, situations, or scenarios of happenstance become the everyday mixture of what men or women may perhaps never seek to encounter as the commingled, intertwined, or vexed.

The frequently violent, horrific, traumatic, memorable, and forgotten are ingratiated upon heaven’s and hell’s high alter of derision. Eyes see and view themselves blind as acute or peripheral indifference elevates the present, anticipated, or future plan to the level swivel-headedness of a present psychological afterthought which simultaneously acknowledges all is compromised. Just wait a nanosecond, things have changed exponentially, we just have not rested long enough to see it yet.

Sacrifice, discipline, professionalism, insanity, humility, and the everyday occurrence placate the conscious toward the immediate present, future, or distance objective of strategized mutiny waging war against the alternatives seeking to exact other parallel universal outcomes.

     The humility, arrogance, pride, respect, and somewhat melancholy nature of happenstance is concealed, bottled up, yet discretely visible for all to recognize, identify, or narrowly ascertain. Trajectory is aimed toward victory and the compass azimuth is established toward “You have got to be shitting me!”

Volunteers! Yes! Indecisive numbers may reflect, even if jail was the option, you volunteered for duty among the new or old original gangsters who daily reside, live, or embrace their passions among our citizenry. Men and women who operate also between the hot, warm, or cold of a foreign destination.

Conscripted or contracted men, women, and sometimes pets who seek to rationally encounter lunacy in motion, opting to operate between insanity’s fragile perimeter of tangible prohibition or intangible steadfast resolve.

Preserving the peace by actions rationalizing conflict resolution, warfare, survival, security, commerce, political intention, ideologically “sound” psychological pragmaticacies, or the physiologically reprehensive is above a multitude of professional and amateur pay grades.

The ironic cataclysm of reality, perception, survival, instinct, skill, wit, confidence, intestinal fortitude, or supposition of insanity provide a foundation built upon the deoxyribonucleic acid of cause, effect, influence, or matter of happenstance.

Sanity, lunacy, and the incoherent of welcomed foreshadowed occurrences, uninvited and unrecognized miracles, resulting consequences, or realities based upon matters of happenstance ‘are birthed “routinely”, ‘habitually, or “randomly” by some sort of “necessity”, “irrelevancy”, or “extreme bias”.

Every now and then there are occasions to commemorate, sanctify, dote upon, or honor the immortality of infamous men or women of service who are presently unavailable. The immediately unselfish and available exchange their life, or a cozier accommodation, to become the minute or integral part of a legacy greater than one’s self.

Unfathomable as it is to contemplate, the litany of team players who diligently desire to preserve the integrity, traditions, lifestyle, or freedom in some areas of our cosmos is diminishing. Patriotism, the view from a newly discovered horizon, or matters of happenstance routinely beckon the alien to immigrate or emigrate toward the passion of life’s uncertainties.

Families, friends, or stranger’s earning citizenship through a practical application of cherished devotion to singular or pluralized objective vision which is far beyond the mental grasp of mortal men and women.

How does one seek to endanger one’s self? Why is unselfishness so prevalent among the willing? When, if the trend of bravery is exercise, does extraordinary character or composure with longevity or shortsightedness expire?

Will a home or place of rest become a delicately respected artifact of history preserved as many sea shells because “well that is what we are supposed to do until history, supply, or demand find another hallowed cause birthed by an effect to exact an influence preserving the next nearest memory.”

The eyes which saw, the ears that interpreted, the nose that encountered the scent of death, the tongue which tasted chemical warfare, and absorbed surface effects are analyzed by the witnesses to conceptualize tomorrow’s battlefield as wisdom’s testament of yesteryear.

Survivors who have seen heaven’s and hell’s altar rationalized through the strategically sane, to offset an alternative, are ceasing to remain among us and are concluding their residence among humanity’s priceless living resources.

Frailties of the human condition, physical limitations or complications, and life’s scheduled or random problematicacies are diminishing our veteran capital daily as our mentors are interred. The world is left lost as each eye closes.

Subtle actions, acute involvement, peripheral intentions, or parallel universal outcomes are the benefactors of a choice, determination, or inaction.

Each year an exponential number of witnesses to history pass from the land of the living and into an unknown state of existence. The physical and spiritual human departing this world of love, life, misery, and infrequent perfection.

Pain, wisdom, ingenuity, and the impression of our preceding generation’s presence still resiliently produce the incalculable.

As days pass, neophytes to the celestial ambiance are gifted a void of intellectual congruency. Balance, value, personal worth, and experiential wisdom absent a source for recollection of why things are the way they are swiftly are becoming closing realities.

The responsibility of accountability to alternative universal outcomes which were thwarted, discarded, muted, unrecognized, or concealed is the baton swiftly being handed off to benefactors willing to learn.

A testimony to the accolades of men and women are the memorials paid for in blood, sweat, lives, tears, and dreams. Veteran men and women who surpass their lifespans through the contributions they paid for the citizens they were, and for the lucky, the citizens they later became.
